Coastal Path (2/1) challenged for the lead from four out but ran out of petrol in the final furlong, finishing third to the remarkable Yeats (11/8f) who completed a hat-trick of victories in this race, a feat last achieved thirty years ago. 25/1 shot Sagara finished fifth, better than expected after reading Kerrin McEvoy's Teletext column last night where the horse was described as a bit of a moody customer.
